Sir Tom microsite launched!

There are now just six weeks left for visitors to catch our current special exhibition ‘Local Hero: Football Legend, Sir Tom Finney’. However for those who can’t get to the museum in time, a virtual edition of the exhibition is now on line!  The microsite www.localhero.nationalfootballmuseum.com takes visitors on a fascinating journey through Sir Tom Finney’s life.  One of the greatest footballers this country has ever produced, he won 76 caps for his country, scoring 30 goals. He also famously played for Preston North End for his entire career.  The microsite includes all the images from the exhibition, a tribute video and there’s the opportunity for visitors to leave their memories of Sir Tom on a blog.
The exhibition continues until Sunday 27 September, however the microsite will continue as a permanent reminder of this great man.
